Image Browser allows you to upload images on the server, view and delete them. Images are stored in folders.
To create a new folder:
1. Click on Create New Folder link
2. Enter folder name in the field provided and click on Add Folder button.
You can change the name of the folder or delete it later by clicking on link Edit beside drop down list.
To upload image to the server follow these steps:
1. Choose folder required from dropdown list and click on Add New Image.
2. Enter local path to image or choose it from standard open file dialog by clicking on Browse button.
3. Click on Add Image button.
After having been added, images will appear in the Image Browser. By clicking on an image you will be able to go to the Edit Image screen where it is possible to replace it by another one or delete it.

Manage marketing list (Manage Subscribers)
This option allows you to create, modify and delete lists of the customers you want to market to.
You will see details of the customer lists you have created. The table displays the name of the list, the date range the list applies to and a description.
Create a new list
1. Click the link I would like to build a new list.
2. List will be based on – use the drop down box to select your filtering option. Click Apply to create the filter. Select the options you require then click Apply Filter.
3. Further filtering on additional criteria? – use these options if you want to further refine your list. Click on the filter you want to apply, select the options you require then click Apply Filter.
4. You will see your filter options displayed on the right hand side of the screen.
5. Now you can specify a date range for your list. Select the All dates option to build your list from all the entries in your database or choose whether you’d like to select customers by the date when reservation made or the actual date of reservation. Then specify the Date Start and Date End.
6. With email – this option lets you filter subscribers by email address availability.
7. With mobile – this option lets you filter subscribers by mobile phone number availability.
8. Click Build List to create your new list.
9. Details of your list will be displayed. Before saving your list you can remove entries by unchecking the box beside them.
10. Use the Save List button to save your list. To add your new list to an existing list click the Join List button then select the list you want add to.
Please note. To create a list of all customers do not change default settings and click Build List button.
Create a new list by importing subscriber’s data from text file
File may contain the following fields (* required):
§ First Name
§ Surname*
§ Contact Phone Number
§ Mobile Number
Important. To prevent data duplication restaurantdiary.com will not import customer if his/her email address is already registered in the database. It means that using this functionality you can build a list based only on new customers. To build a list based on the existing customers please go to Customer Contact / Manage Marketing List, click the link "I would like to build a new list" and choose one or more filter criteria provided on that page.
Editing your lists
1. To edit a list click the Edit link next to the list you want to change.
2. From here you can update or delete a subscriber’s details by clicking the Edit link next to the entry you want to change.
3. To stop messages being sent to a subscriber uncheck the Enabled box.
4. You can change the email address, mobile telephone number and address details.
5. When you have finished click the Update Subscriber button.
6. To delete a subscriber from your list click the Delete button.
Deleting your lists
1. To delete a list click the Delete link next to the list you want to remove.
Copying/Moving entries from one list to another
1. Click the Edit link next to the list containing the entries you want to copy or move.
2. Use the drop down box to select your option:
a. Copy Selected To – select the entries you want to copy by checking the box beside them.
b. Copy All Subscribers To – this option will copy all entries to another list.
c. Move Selected To – select the entries you want to move by checking the box beside them.
d. Move All Subscribers To – this option will move all entries to another list.
3. Select the list you want to copy/move your entries to using the drop down box then click the Go button.
Deleting entries from a list
1. Click the Edit link next to the list containing the entries you want to delete.
2. Use the drop down box to select your option:
a. Delete Selected – select the entries you want to delete by checking the box beside them.
b. Delete All Subscribers – this option will delete all entries from your list.
3. Click the Go button.
This option allows you to choose between Email and SMS messaging and select the customers you wish to send to.
To build your Email message follow Steps 1 through to 7 selecting your required options.
• Step 1 - Select message type Email.
• Step 2 - Give your message a subject.
• Step 3 - Choose recipients for your message. If you’d like to market to the specific list of subscribers choose Static List option and select a list from the drop down box or create a new list. (* See note.) If you’d like the recipients to be determined during mail outs automatically choose Dynamic List option and a criterion for the selection from drop down list. Note that in this case system doesn't track statistics.
• Step 4 - Use the drop down box to select an existing message or create new template to create a new message. To send plain text select send plain text message, enter your message in the box then click Apply. If you decide not to use the plain text message you can remove it by clicking send plain text message then click Remove. (* See note.)
• Step 5 - To see how your message will look click Preview your message.
• Step 6 - Send a test message to check that your customers are receiving the correct information. Enter an email address, most likely your own, then click Send test.
• Step 7 - Schedule this message for delivery. Enter the date and time you want your message to be sent and repeat options, then click Apply.
* Please note. If you choose to create a new list or create new template you will not be redirected back to this page. To complete the process of creating your message select Create message from the menu on the left hand side, then select Edit Current Message.
To build your SMS message follow Steps 1 through to 6 selecting your required options.
• Step 1 - Select message type SMS.
• Step 2 - Choose recipients for your message. If you’d like to market to the specific list of subscribers choose Static List option and select a list from the drop down box or create a new list. Manage message templates (Message Templates)
Each template you create has a name and appears in the list on this page. From here you can add new templates, edit existing templates and view your templates as they will appear in your messages.
Please note our HTML editor does not support background images as theses can be incorrectly displayed by different email clients.

Create an HTML template
1. Click the Add New Template button at the bottom of the template list.
2. Enter the name of the template and create message using embedded HTML editor.
3. Click the Add Template button.
Edit (Delete) an HTML template
1. Click on Edit link beside the template you want to edit.
2. Make changes you need in the template.
3. Click the Update Template (Delete) button.
HTML editor
It is not necessary to have special technical skills to create professional looking HTML templates. Toolbars positioned directly above the text message provide the ability to format text, insert images and links, preview and print message, search, copy and past, etc.

Tokens represent special values that they are replaced with automatically when email is being sent. restaurantdiary.com™ supports the following tokens:
{SUBJECT}
{SUBSCRIBER_NAME}
{COUNTER}
{UNSUBSCRIBE_URL}
Token {SUBJECT} is replaced with the subject of email message provided by you during message creation (see Create Message description).
Token {SUBSCRIBER_NAME} allows you to personalise each email message with the subscriber’s name.
Token {COUNTER} is necessary if you’d like to track statistics of emails opened (see Sent Messages with Success / Failure Reporting description). It’s not visible to recipient.
Token {UNSUBSCRIBE_URL} is an URL for automatic unsubscription of a customer from all mailing lists. It should inserted as a value of HREF attribute of HTML link.
For example, if you set up the following template:
Dear {SUBSCRIBER},
Take advantage of our {SUBJECT}!
{COUNTER}
And when creating the message you specify ‘Exclusive Easter promotion’ as the subject line the subscriber John Smith will see:
Dear John Smith,

Please note. When you preview your template and send a test message tokens are not replaced with the real values.
SMS Messaging
Select this option to create a new SMS message or edit an exiting message. To create a new message click Add New SMS. Give your message a name, enter the text then click Add Message.
To edit an existing message click Edit next to the message you want to change, make your changes then click Update Message. To delete the message click Delete.
Scheduled Messages
Select this option to see message waiting to be sent. You will see the message name, message type (Email or SMS), the date and time the message to be sent, repeat frequency, last run time and last result. Click View to see the message, Send Test to send a test message, Edit to edit your message or Delete to delete your message.
Sent Messages with Success / Failure Reporting
Select this option to view messages you have sent to customers and the results of your email marketing campaigns. Choose message type (Email or SMS) from Message Type dropdown list and view report.
Email Sent Messages report provides the following data:
• Sent Date – the date and time you scheduled message to deliver and it was sent to recipients.
• Subject – the subject of the message.
• Sent – the total emails sent including
bounced emails. To view the list of subscribers who were sent the email click on
icon
beside.
• Bounced – the number of emails sent,
but not received by your subscribers. To view the list of subscribers who
clicked on links click on icon
beside.
• Opened – the number of emails opened
divided to the number sent. In parenthesis - the number of emails opened*. To
view the list of subscribers who opened the email and the date and time opened
click on icon
beside.
• Click-through – the number of
click-throughs. To view the list of links and subscribers who clicked on them
click on icon
beside.
*Please note. To make tracking statistics work you must insert token {COUNTER} to the message – see Create Message, Tokens description.
To view message content click on icon

To view message summary click on the subject.
Sent message summary
This screen provides additional details of message sent such as Template, Subscriber List and detailed Click-Through Rate.
Click-Through Rate is the number of
unique subscribers who clicked on the link. Clicking on icon
you will see the list of those
subscribers and dates clicked.
Email Bounce Management
restaurantdiary.com™ tracks bounces for each subscriber. If the number of bounces exceeds the limit such subscriber will be deleted from the list. Currently the number of bounces is limited to 3 and cannot be customised.
