The joining of tables in restaurantdiary is one of the keys to the system allocating reservations to the correct tables. Each join must be added individually and the system will work out a possible set of chains. If A joined to B and B could join to C, the system will assume that A, B and C could be a possible chain.
The chains are grouped together below each individual join. The grouping is by actual cover count of the table chains.
The Capacity of the chain can be changed to reflect the real value of the joined table. The Natural Capacity is the summation of the standard cover count; however, this can be changed to the increased capacity that the chain can accommodate. A classic example is of four “twos” joining together to have an increased capacity of ten covers.
The order that the joins are sold in can be changed by dragging the specific join up or down and clicking update. An individual chain can be disabled should you wish.
