By clicking on this link in our left hand management menu you can install our “Offline Diary” on to any local PC from which you may be accessing your reservation diary. This will create a desktop icon for the Offline Diary and, provided you have saved your XML backup reports to your local hard drive (and can find the directory!), you will be able to run the “Offline Diary” from the icon installed on your desk top and see availability instantly in the case of loss of your Internet connection. Browse to the appropriate directory on your hard drive, choose the latest backup and you are able to see forward bookings.
To enable the download of XML backups please ensure you have XML downloads enabled by your administrator in “Alter Restaurant Details / Other Details” – we recommend saving 30 days in advance every 90 minutes.
Please ensure your computer has Internet Explorer settings for trusted sites set as documented in the user guide at “First Things First” – in particular in Tools / Internet Options / Security / Trusted Sites / Custom Level you must enable automatic prompting for files downloads and enable downloads.
Offline diary backup files are in the format of booking_report_*.xml.
Html files are in the format of booking_report_*.html
