The Diary Page

By default, the diary will open at the current date and will display restaurant areas, tables and times available. To go to another date you can enter the day of the month, calendar month and year in the appropriate drop down boxes and then click on “go to Date”; alternatively you can click on the calendar box logo and select the appropriate date and then click on “go to Date”

You can also go forward or back one day by using the large blue arrows adjacent to the current date.  To return to the current date, simply click on the “GO TO TODAY” logo, as above.

Also, to make a booking, if it is for the date showing on the diary page you can simply click on the appropriate box for the time and table and follow the process.   Please note that if you are breaking “rules” set up in the system, e.g. no 2’s at 4’s on certain nights the system will move the booking to the appropriate table, if available, or report that there are no suitable tables.  Conversely, if you are a manager with rights to “break rules” or ignore “maximum covers” at time intervals, the booking may be accepted but a warning message will be flagged up before such acceptance – a note is kept of who makes such bookings.

Consequently, if you have a host booking chance guests in and this host is allowed to “break the rules” or seat more than the maximum covers per time interval for the current service please ensure that the host user has rights set up under “groups” and “users” to over ride these rules.

(These rights can apply at all times or just for the current day.)

Please remember to select your name from the drop down box in the top RH corner of the booking screen as the system tracks and reports on details of customers, bookings and staff actions.
